How easy is it to set-up and use?
We have designed the eVscope to be very user-friendly. Even for first time users, it typically takes less than 10 minutes to get the eVscope set-up and pointing towards celestial objects (there is no need for constellations knowledge nor polar star alignment). Simply set up the tripod, mount the telescope and launch the app. It's that simple.
Can it be easily transported?
Yes, weighting just 19.8lbs - 9Kg - including tripod, the eVscope is easy to transport during your observations. The telescope is 65cm tall and 23cm wide (25.5 inches and 9 inches) and the tripod is also compact with extendable legs.
What can I see with the eVscope?
Thanks to the Enhanced Vision, the eVscope allows you to observe comets, star clusters, asteroids, supernovae, and even to see the the shape and colors of many galaxies and nebulae.
Can the eVscope be used to observe the Moon and the planets of the Solar System?
Yes! The eVscope will allow you to see the moon and the planets, like Jupiter and Saturn for example. However, these objects being very bright, the eVscope will not allow you to see them better than in a classical telescope. With the exception of Neptune and Uranus (or even Pluto), that are very far, and therefore quite fainter.
Can I download the images of the astronomical objects I observe with the telescope, on my smartphone / computer?
Yes, the colorful images of the galaxies and nebulae that you observed through the eVscope are readily available on your smartphone. Any image you save will be stored in our app and copied in your smartphone picture gallery. It can then easily be shared with your friends - or on your social media profiles - and transferred to your computer.
Can I use a camera adapter / adapt a DSLR camera to the eVscope?
The eVscope has been designed to provide all the functionalities required to view colorful images of galaxies and nebulae, all in a compact and lightweight telescope, and directly through the eyepiece.
Images are saved on the smartphone and can easily be transferred onto a computer. At the present time, we do not plan on releasing nor recommending camera adapters for the eVscope.
Where can I buy the eVscope?
At present the eVscope can only be bought on our website by clicking the "order your eVscope now" buttons and with limited availabilities, we would recommend securing your eVscope now.
If I order today, when will I get my eVscope?
Order your eVscope now and secure a delivery in October. There are only 189 units available. As more orders come in, the delivery date will be adjusted and it may get pushed back to November or December.
How much does the eVscope cost?
During this sale, the full price of the eVscope (including taxes) is A$3890.00 instead of the usual
A$4690.00. This includes the scope, motorized alt-az, celestial
tracking procedure with feedback and the tripod. The controlling app is free to download on the Google Play or Apple stores.
Who pays the goods and services tax (GST)?
Upon delivery of your eVscope, the Australian Customs Service will ask you to pay the A$353.65 GST, so we have deducted the GST from the price of the eVscope, and when you order today, the price you'll pay is A$3536.35.
How much does shipping cost?
Shipping and delivery is FREE during the sale. It will cost A$99.00 to ship the eVscope to Australia after the sale.
